Ichigo stretched and let out a labored sigh as he woke from a nap. He hadn’t seen anyone lately. Constantly finding himself inactive or falling asleep most of the time. A small yawn escaped his lips as he got up and started to walk, not really sure where he was going, anywhere was good really. Rounding the corner, Ichigo bumped into some one.

“Sorry,” the ginger said gruffly, his mind still half asleep.

The crick in his neck was awful; that much Shinji could say. He rubbed a hand over the tense muscle near his collarbone pensively, lips twisting into an usual pout as his brows drew together at the temple. One did not simply slack off under Hiyori’s watch, nope. The blonde male thought he was the leader here, too. This was just getting embarrassing to endure.

Still, the treatment was abit more tolerable than what the hot-headed, little woman put their charge through on the treadmill a few days ago. Kurosaki was expected to have legs made of freaking titanium by now. With a toothy grin, Shinji stopped his pace, a dry laugh escaping the back of his throat.

Kurosaki’s lame ass would be the bane of Hiyori’s temper tantrums for eternity or his name wasn’t Shinji Hirak-

Woah. Someone interrupted his inner-tangent rather rudely as he found himself suddenly on the ground. The grass would surely ruin his pants. Shinji’s cheek twitched.

“Not cool,” He grunted, taupe-colored irises sliding up to glare hotly into a seemingly dazed pair. “Ichigo.”

Speak of the lackey.

Recognizing the voice Ichigo looked down at the blond haired man who was, at the moment, on the ground. A chill ran down his spine. “What are you doing here?” the ginger asked, preparing his body to run if the older man was there to retrieve him to g to one of Hiyori’s “training sessions” which consisted of him running on the treadmill from hours on end with the spiteful woman swearing and saying things that would provoke the teen. He spent countless mornings with his legs sore, weighing him down like cinder-blocks.

With a small tilt of the head, Shinji let out an irritated snort.

“What, a guy can’t take a walk?” He feigned offense. “Take a walk and possibly come visit a rookie soul reaper who could distract her highness as she scours the entire junkyard for tampons?” He put his hand to his chest, knuckles cracking as he clenched his fist in an attempt at heartwarming sincerity.

Okay, so Shinji wasn’t very heartwarming.

“Do it.” He folded his arms; letting out an uncharacteristic ‘huff’.
